He served as the President of the National Speakers Association and has received their highest awards; Speaker Hall of Fame, The Cavett Award and President’s Award for Distinguished Service and, from the Los Angeles Chapter their Lifetime Achievement Award. He designed the professional education program NSA uses for it’s certification for CSP and the San Diego Chapter of NSA named it member of the year award, “The Jim Cathcart Service Award.” In 2008 Jim Cathcart was chosen to receive the Legends of the Speaking Profession Award. He recently served as the United States’ delegate to the International Federation of Professional Speakers.
